Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith

Watch as Billy Blanks, creator of the Tae-Bo exercise craze of the '90s, goes through routines designed to help children (ages four-14) firm up and tone their bodies. This is a 30-minute version of Blanks' adult routine. It includes kicks, squats, and other movements set to lively tunes such as "Superstar" and "Believe". Most children should be able to follow along with this very basic and simple workout. The Tae Bo Junior routine is fun to learn; many of the moves come from Tae Kwon Do boxing and dancing. While some may find this tape a little boring, others will quickly become devotees of Billy Blanks. He appears to be sincerely interested in helping kids build their coordination and endurance, while possibly even shedding a few unwanted pounds.
