This German documentary, filmed in black and white, profiles Evgen Bavcar, the blind Slavonian photographer. In his own view, Bavcar considers himself anything but a photographer. Rather, he describes himself as an aesthete, philosopher, and a writer. Blind for 38 years, he lost his vision in two accidents during childhood. He has lived in Paris for 19 years and has been exhibiting his internationally renowned pictures since the 1980s. The film includes his personal observations and many examples of his work.
