Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This four-part cable TV series chronicled America's legendary corporate deals, controversial mergers, and hostile takeovers. The individual 60-minute episodes detailed such famous negotiations as Sony's purchase of Columbia Pictures, the New York Yankees' acquisition of Babe Ruth, and Ray Croc's buyout of the McDonald Brothers. Each story was a combination of archival footage, still photos, and newly minted dramatizations (often with the same actors playing multiple roles). Big Deals: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly was originally telecast from September 16 to 19, 2002.
