Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Mr. and Mrs. DuBois (Graham Pettie and Alberta Lee) come with their son Jean (William Desmond) to the Canadian Northwest to work as trappers. There is another son, Horace (Ed Brady), whom the family has not seen in years and who deals with a crooked and tyrannical fur company. Horace convinces Eleanor (Josie Sedgwick), the daughter of a minister, to marry him, but soon she is appalled by his cruel and dishonest ways. Jean runs afoul of the trading company with which Horace works, and Horace comes around to deal with the situation. But Jean and Eleanor fall in love, and Horace's identity as Jean's brother is discovered. Horace sees the error of his ways and decides to reform, so Eleanor wants to give the marriage another try. She and Horace go off into the sunset, leaving Jean behind, alone. In spite of solid work by all concerned, this was nothing more than a subpar programmer.
