Eddie Murphy returns to the role that helped to launch his film career in this belated Beverly Hills Cop sequel from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Brett Ratner (the Rush Hour series, Tower Heist). The plot of the story finds former Detroit cop Axel Foley (Murphy), having settled into a comfortable career as Beverly Hills detective, returning to the Motor City to crack a case during a particularly frigid winter.
