Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The West German-made Benjamin is a comedy for skiing fans of all ages...from ten to twelve. A computer makes a horrendous mistake by choosing nebbish Phillip Sontag as the predicted winner of a ski championship. Not only is Sontag a complete loss as an athlete, but he's never skied in his life. The scenery is terrific, and the ski footage flawless; otherwise, Benjamin is much ado about absolutely nothing. Watch for several real-life ski stars, including Suzy Chaffee and Billy Kidd, in "action" cameos.
