Synopsis by Sarah Ing
Bellydance has long been known for its aesthetic qualities, but Veena and Neena Bidasha exploit the exercise component in Bellydance Fitness for Beginners: Slim Down. Marketed as "the Bellydance twins," the two women lead a rousing lesson in hip shaking designed to trim the body and burn calories. The natural isolations of bellydancing provide a perfect way to target the lower body. If done fast enough, it can be a cardio workout as well. The technique is real, having been refined by Neena and Veena in their Middle Eastern travels. This graceful movement teaches both bellydance basics and a way to lose added pounds.
