The box set Battle for the Marianas relays the tale of the U.S.'s attempt to wrest control over the Mariana Islands, and displace the Japanese soldiers that occupied them, during the Pacific Theater of World War II. Each individual documentary film in this four-episode set focuses exclusively on one of the Marianas. Installments include: New Britain - Isolating Rabaul, Terrible Tarawa, Saipan - Gateway to Japan and Guam - Fall and Recapture.
