Synopsis by Janiss Garza

In an Australian dive, Piers Eversham, of noble birth (Roland Myles), is forced into a brawl with sheep rancher, who dies at the end of the battle. The frightened Eversham rushes back home to England and eventually he meets and falls in love with a governess, Alice Denys (Madge White). He proposes to her against the wishes of his father, Colonel Beverley Eversham (Eric Lankester), and because of this disapproval, Alice turns him down. But on his deathbed, the father has Alice promise to make Piers happy. So they marry, but then Piers finds a photo of the dead sheep rancher in Alice's picture album, and it turns out he was Alice's husband. When Alice finds out about the fight, the couple become estranged, but a witness to the incident, Dixon, admits that he had poured poison into her husband's drink, and that's what killed him, not the fight. With this knowledge, the couple are able to reconcile. This was yet another film from the English production company, Stoll, that was distributed in the U.S. by Pathe.
