Synopsis by Mark Deming

Forbidden love and unnatural obsession collide in this atmospheric gothic horror from director Maria Beatty. Lucille (Janna Lisa Bonbrowsky) is the beautiful daughter of Arthur (Hans Piesbergen), a stern and unforgiving doctor who has kept a close watch on his child since the death of his wife. Arthur wants Lucille to focus her studies on math and sciences, but she has developed a passion for poetry and wants to attend a college where she can learn to write. Arthur does not approve of Lucille's ambitions, and in a moment of despair the girl tries to kill herself. Lucille survives but suffers severe burns on her face; refusing to trust her to a hospital, Arthur cares for his daughter at home, and needing assistance he hires a nurse, Joan (Susanne Sachsse). As Joan tends to Lucille's needs and bathes her, the two women become deeply attracted to one another, and passion grows between them, but as Lucille's bandages begin to come off, Joan makes a startling discovery -- Arthur is using his knowledge of plastic surgery to transform Lucille into the image of his late spouse. Bandaged was an official selection at the 2009 San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival.
