Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Director Mary Fishman's Band of Sisters analyzes how Catholic nuns have done good deeds throughout the world since Vatican II, sometimes opposing the official conservative stance of the Church's hierarchy. The film focuses on a pair of nuns who spend their time counseling and consoling people housed in deportation centers, but, as the film reveals, that is far from the only cause many brave nuns have championed.
