Synopsis by Matthew Tobey
Pioneer presents this classical music program, featuring the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. In celebration of what would have been Bach's 250th birthday, organist Hans-Andre Stamm performs some of the composer's best-loved compositions on the Trost Organ in Waltershausen, Germany. The organ was once played by Bach himself. Along with various choral preludes, Stamm performs Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Präludium and Fugue in E flat major, and Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor.
