Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Candid Camera has been a popular concept from its inception and basically involves filming ordinary non-actors who are the butts of practical jokes, some of them very elaborate. No matter what else happens to them, the unsuspecting public caught in these schemes behave candidly because they don't expect to be filmed -- or even seen. This Israeli variation on the theme has two popular Israeli television comics, the Batlanim (The Lazy Bums), do their best to surprise and discomfort their prey. The film abounds with local celebrities who are also caught off guard.
