Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
The peasants of Mexico have a need for a protector, whether it be El Super Barrio or, as in this movie, the Christlike Auandar Anapu. In the movie, an indio wearing overalls and clogs appears among the poor; he raises the dead, and saves a woman from being stoned to death. Eventually, a mercenary soldier arranges to kill him, but Auandar Anapu promises to reappear from time to time, whenever he is most needed.
