Synopsis by Steve Blackburn
Hosted by Annie Getchell, this video features episode three from the first season of the award-winning PBS television series. In this installment, Getchell and local cavers Robert Ginsburg and Martha Clarke team up with cave hydrologist Van Brahana for a tour of caverns beneath the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Brahana introduces viewers to methods of caving "softly and safely" to protect the delicate environments of the caves that honeycomb the limestone bluffs along the Buffalo National Scenic River. Highlights include a look at a huge subterranean chamber filled with natural crystalline sculptures.
