Documentary filmmaker Danny Cohen collaborated with Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett, a highly awarded and internationally famous performer also touted as an anti-influencer due to her reclusive stature and very guarded demeanor, to produce this film. The footage dates back to 2018 when Cohen tailed the hailed musician-lyricist using sixteen-millimeter film. For several years, Barnett supplies her thoughts via an audio diary she kept for the duration of the filming, where she muses about her creative process and the trappings of fame that come with her chosen artistry.
