Synopsis by Jonathan Crow

Heart of Darkness gets the kung-fu treatment with this Rambo-style girls-with-guns flick directed by Hua-Shan. Cops and martial arts masters Mone (Moon Lee) and Chin-fei (Wilson Lam) venture to the deepest darkest Burma to rescue an important hostage from the clutches of a Col. Kurtz like general named Poison Owl (Johnny Wang) whose mind stayed clear but whose soul went mad. When her comrade Chin-fei becomes gravely wounded following an assassination attempt, Mone marshals the troops -- including a whacked out Vietnam vet named aptly "Little Vietnam" (Hugo Ng) -- and plunges ever deeper into the jungle. Soon Mone realizes that Poison Owl is not the only threat she needs to concern herself with. This film features a soundtrack partially swiped from A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. Director Hua-Shan is perhaps best known in the West for his bizarre sci-fi monster flick Infra-Man.
