Synopsis by Brian J. Dillard

When a deranged woman named Dana (Navi Rawat) makes a violent escape from an insane asylum, Angel (David Boreanaz) and Spike (James Marsters) suspect she's a demon. As it turns out, though, she's one of the new vampire slayers whose powers were triggered in the season finale of Angel's parent show (see Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chosen). Unaware of her supernatural heritage, Dana is still haunted by the brutal murder of her family years earlier. The rogue slayer cuts a bloody swatch through L.A. until the intervention of villain-turned-watcher Andrew (Tom Lenk), who arrives with news of the Sunnydale gang's latest activities -- and a plan to stop Dana's rampage. To complicate matters, though, Dana seems to have a mysterious link to Spike, and Andrew, on Buffy's orders, has a secret agenda. Originally broadcast January 28, 2004 on the WB network, "Damage" marked season five, episode 11 of the supernatural soap opera. Buffy fans who yearned for news of that show's characters after its cancellation were happy to learn, via Andrew, that Buffy and company had scattered across the globe in their quest to recruit and train the army of slayers they'd unleashed.
