Synopsis by Brian J. Dillard

To mark the 100th episode of Angel, former Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel regular Charisma Carpenter reprises her role as Cordelia Chase. Months after her body was hijacked by the villainous Jasmine (see "Inside Out"), Cordy finally awakens from her coma. She's horrified to discover, however, that Angel (David Boreanaz) seems to have gone over to the dark side. Aghast at the fang gang's affiliation with Wolfram & Hart, Cordy reminds Angel of the original mission: to help the helpless. In doing so, she invokes the memory of Doyle, the slain third member of the original Angel triumvirate. Of course, the scheming Lindsey (Christian Kane) has been posing as Doyle to manipulate Spike (James Marsters) into usurping Angel's role as champion of the downtrodden. When evidence of Lindsey's scheming comes to light, Angel finally learns that his old nemesis is back in play, leading to a dramatic showdown with Lindsey and Eve (Sarah Thompson) in the bowels of Wolfram & Hart's headquarters. Circumstances (and television contracts) prevent Cordelia from rejoining Team Angel permanently, but she does share a final kiss and a sigh of regret with Angel over the unfulfilled nature of their star-crossed romance. Originally broadcast February 4, 2004, on the WB network, "You're Welcome" marked season five, episode 12 of the supernatural soap opera. Other than flashbacks, this episode marked Carpenter's final appearance on Angel; it aired almost seven years after the actress mouthed Cordelia's first snarky line in the pilot episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
