Angel (David Boreanaz) and the fang gang learn that one of their employees is actually a member of an exclusive club that delights in consuming exotic cuisine -- of the sentient variety. When the ghoulish gourmands target newly turned werewolf Nina Ash (Jenny Mollen) for their next meal, Angel and the gang spring into action. Confused by her new condition, the beautiful blond lycanthrope fears harming her beloved sister and niece. But Angel, who knows a thing or two about the beast within, offers advice, friendship, and a place to lock up during the full moon. Originally broadcast October 15, 2003, on the WB network, "Unleashed" marked season 5, episode 3 of the supernatural soap opera. Fans of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer mythos will note that Nina is a different species of werewolf from those previously depicted -- more human-looking, but also more vicious than, say, shape-changing rock & roller Oz (Seth Green). Jenny Mollen would reprise her role as Nina later in the season in the episodes "Smile Time" and "Power Play."
