Andy's Gang was an early '50s kids TV show with likable characters such as Froggy, who plucked his magic twanger, and Midnight, a black cat. The sponsor was shoe-maker Buster Brown. The show first aired in 1950 as Smilin' Ed's Gang, with host Ed McConnell.
