Gifted operatic tenor Plàcido Domingo returns to one of the roles which helped make his reputation in this 1985 production of the opera by Umberto Giordano. Placido Domingo Sings Andrea Chenier features the great voice as a poet who must become a warrior amidst the chaos of the French revolution. Staged in Vienna, this production also features a fine turn by Gabriela Benackova in the female lead.
