This ten-part PBS series examines the constantly shifting social, political, and economic forces at work in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean basin. Viewers are taken behind the scenes to gain a historical perspective on the turmoil that has developed in these countries. Experts share their opinions on how leaders might better manage the unique challenges they encounter as they govern their diverse citizenry. This episode explores how unusually talented artists continue to socially influence others. Four artists are profiled, including Brazilian singer Caetano Veloso, Mexican playwright and performer Jesusa Rodriguez, Argentinan filmmaker Fernando Solanas, and Puerto Rican writer Luis Rafael Sanchez.
