In the 1950s, the United States government wanted to research the effects of nuclear war on an average American community and consequently built several dwellings in the Nevada desert with the specific intention of destroying them with atomic bombs for scientific purposes. These experimental tests were captured on film, and this video captures the fearsome impact of the bomb as recorded in these tests.
