Georgia O'Keefe (1881-1986), abstract artist, is best known for her paintings of flowers, animal skulls, the New York skyline, and landscapes of her beloved desert. Her life was characterized by her individual work as well as by her marriage and collaboration with famed photographer and art gallery director Alfred Stieglitz.
