Georgia O'Keefe (1881-1986), abstract artist, is best known for her paintings of flowers, animal skulls, the New York skyline, and landscapes of her beloved desert. Her life was characterized by her individual work as well as by her marriage and collaboration with famed photographer and art gallery director Alfred Stieglitz. Part of the series American Painters, this ten-minute video produced by Lucerne Media provides a comprehensive, introductory look at the Wisconsin-born O'Keefe, tracing her life and works and offering numerous examples of her painting.
