Synopsis by Rovi
Co-writer and director Jacqueline Olive’s provocative documentary juxtaposes the 2014 death of North Carolina teenager Lennon Lee Lacy with the pre-Civil Rights practice of lynching. Though Lacy’s death was ruled as a suicide, his family and friends believe that he had been targeted for a racially motivated assault, due to his romantic involvement with an older white woman.
