Synopsis by Jack Rodgers
After their son is killed while serving in the German Army during World War II, married couple Anna (Emma Thompson) and Otto Quangel (Brendan Gleeson) launch an anonymous propaganda effort against the Nazis by leaving postcards with anti-Hitler messages in public places. Soon, a police detective (Daniel Brühl) is tasked with hunting down the author of the postcards. Based on a true story, Alone in Berlin was adapted from Hans Fallada's novel and directed by Vincent Perez (The Secret).
