Synopsis by Mark Deming
Allen Iverson was blessed with neither size (at six feet tall and 160 pounds, he hardly seems like ideal material for professional basketball) nor a privileged upbringing (he had a rough childhood and a number of run-ins with the law as a teenager), but he overcame his obstacles to become one of the best and most respected players in the NBA as a guard with the Philadelphia 76ers, winning the MVP trophy in the 2001 season. Allen Inerson: The Answer is a documentary that chronicles Iverson's long and sometime bumpy road to the top, including rare home movie footage from the earliest days of his career, and interviews with Iverson, his coaches, and his teammates.
