Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Once again, Blanche Hefner is "stepping out" on her husband, Barney. And once again, Barney's misery is seriously affecting business at Archie's bar. And yet once again, Archie and Edith try to bring the Hefners back together -- this time by spending a weekend with the contentious couple in Upstate New York. Estelle Parsons and Allan Melvin appear as the battling Hefners. Written by Phil Sharp and Milt Josefsberg, "Weekend in the Country" was first telecast on October 29, 1978.
