In 1992, the most talented backup musicians in New York City formed a band for the sole intent of blowing off the steam that would build up in their day-to-day lives. With a variety of respected musicians including guitarist Jimmy Vivino, bassist Mike Merritt, drummer Anton Fig, and keyboardist Al Kooper, the band staged a memorable concert for PBS cameras that offered an infectious mix of catchy covers and dazzling originals.
