Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Greek filmmaker Stefanos Fotiadis directed and adapted this amusing gender-bending comedy from his own play Alekos Is a Woman. Maro Kondou stars as Stella, whose attempts to further her career have only met with sexism and romantic advances from her employers. Frustrated and determined to better her economic status, Stella decides to pose as a man, convinced that such a ploy will benefit her situation. Posing as Alekos, aided by the identification of her twin brother, Stella re-enters the business world as a man, discovering that there are indeed hidden privileges associated with her new identity. Her status in the company rises quickly, and both of her employers (Dionyssis Papayiannopoulos, Yiannis Michalopoulos) are eager for "him" to marry their daughters. The daughters fight over the rights to "Alekos," but both lose out to the handsome Andreas (Yiorgos Moutsios), who discovers Stella's true identity and falls in love with her. Nana Skiada and Nikos Rizos co-star.
