Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

The remarkable diversity of the people, locations, and cultures of twenty cities in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil are vividly brought to life on film in a poetic travelogue lovingly crafted by filmmakers Cao Guimaräes and Pablo Lobato. Its title inspired by the impressionistic names of twenty cities located in the region, Acidente highlights the joyous unpredictability of day to day life by traveling from town to town and weaving together a rich tapestry of unscripted picture postcards that includes the female road sweepers of Entre Folhas (Between Leaves), a remote gas station in Olhos d'Agua (Watery Eyes), and a church procession in Virgem da Lapa (Virgin of the Rock).
