Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
Director Carol Ciancutti takes a hard look at a cosmetic surgery more women are electing to have with each passing year: silicon breast implants. Though the health and safety risks involved appear to have lessened greatly throughout the years, there are nonetheless many women who believe ailments including joint pain and chronic fatigue, among others, are a direct result of the process. Health, modern beauty ideals, and the lucrative business behind elective surgeries intersect in this documentary; toxicologists, attorneys, surgeons, and implant manufacturers weigh in on the alleged risks of silicon implants.
