Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The subject matter of Abenteur in Engadine is more succinctly stated in its alternate title, Slalom. The scene is a posh skiing lodge, high in the Swiss Alps. Heroes Guzzi Lantschner and Walter Riml simply can't stop skiing, not even when negotiating a train ride, eluding an angry cop, or wobbling around the lobby of the lodge. Observing the boys' antics, heroine Hella Hartwich insists that her unathletic boyfriend take up skiing as well. He turns to Lantschner and Riml for advice, and before long they've transformed the lad into a slaloming champion. It's hard to resist noting that the plot of Abenteur in Engadine goes rapidly downhill -- and uphill, for that matter.
