Part of the ABC News Nightline series, which features favorite episodes from anchorman Ted Koppel's award-winning television news program, ABC News Nightline: Akio Morita profiles the career of Akio Morita, a co-founder of the Sony Corporation. Morita, who served as an officer in Emperor Hirohito's Japanese Navy in World War II, used his education in physics and engineering to become a mega-successful businessman. In 1960, during his tenure at Sony, he delivered to the world its first all-transistor television.
