Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Skinny Charley Chase tries to pawn himself off as a tough guy in this average one-reel comedy from the Hal Roach studios. He gets the idea when he sees a big bruiser handing out cards that name him as the bouncer for a dive joint. Chase tries the same thing and everyone is properly intimidated -- at least, until he runs out of cards. But Charley's apparent weakness turns out to be only skin deep. He discovers that a swindler is cheating his sweetheart's mother out of her savings with some fake oil stock. The outraged Charley chases after the man, catches him, and gives him a sound thrashing. The best part of the film is the end of the chase, when Chase and the swindler both fall over a cliff. Charley and the villain are stuck on a tree limb, which offers a number of hair-raising moments.
