Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Filmmakers Holden Kahn and Alessandra Zeka ponder the problems resulting from strict anti-abortion laws in Nicaragua through candid conversations with dedicated OBGYN Dr. Carla Cerrato and her colleagues. Despite initially doing her best to comply with laws she find deeply problematic, Dr Cerrato ultimately finds herself compelled to act in her patients' best interests as her country's law prohibit abortions even in cases of rape, incest, or complications that could lead to the mother's death during childbirth.
