PBS takes a trip across the country from Fairfield, Connecticut to Los Angeles, California to view America's favorite hot dog places. It is a look inside the world of the famous hot dog. Take a look at the nostalgia that follows America's favortite food. The viewer sees giant hot dog-shaped buildings, and late night hot dog stands. Also featured is the hot dog making process. It is a historic look at hot dogs, how and when they became a famous food. A survey is included about about the toppings of choice. See how others top their dogs, and what is the most popular topping of choice. It is an all-American hot dog celebration.
