Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Second-string cowboy star Dick Hatton both starred and directed this rather off-beat silent western about a cowboy disguising himself as a black man in order to infiltrate a gang of rustlers. Hatton's little westerns were usually shown in backwater towns only and A He-Man's Country was no exception, despite the efforts of producer Ben Wilson to make every dollar spent show up on the screen. Hatton's usual leading lady (and Wilson's girlfriend) Neva Gerber was on hand for pulchritude, and the stunts came courtesy of the enterprising Yakima Canutt.
