Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A London artist in search of inspiration takes a pretty young prostitute as his muse, only to find himself torn between virtue and vice as he forms a dangerous obsession with his disreputable subject. William Hogarth (Roby Jones) was drifting through London's seedy districts when he wandered into a Covent Garden brothel and met the beguiling Mary Collins (Zoe Tapper). It isn't long before Mary becomes William's muse, and his quest for integrity leads him down a darkened path. Basking in Mary's besmirched beauty, William creates a series of paintings known as "A Harlot's Progress" that brings him precisely the kind of fame, wealth, and respectability that he has always craved.
