Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Whitley (Jasmine Guy) arranges a gallery exhibit of Hillman College student art. But the show may be over before it begins when the gallery owner rejects the artwork of young Novian Winter (K. Todd Freeman) as "offensive". Not wishing to lose her job, Whitley bows to pressure and removes Novian's contribution--thereby alienting her friends Jaleesa (Dawnn Lewis) and Freddie (Cree Summer). Meanwhile, overprotective Walter (Sinbad) tries to keep his niece Priscilla (Laverne Anderson) far away from Ron (Darryl M. Bell).
