Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Handsome Harold Goodwin stars in this well-made Fox short subject. Harold Pembroke (Goodwin) is a wealthy, coddled young man who loses his fortune on Wall Street on the day of his wedding. In spite of being destitute, a cab driver (Oliver Hardy) is still willing to drive him around. Finally, while Harold is riding in the taxi with his bride (Shirley Palmer), the driver finds a paying customer and makes the couple sit in the front. Harold has just purchased a couple of sandwiches with his last quarter, and the paying rider eats them. Before he exits the cab, however, the fare gives Harold a dollar, and this inspires him to create an "eat while you ride" bus line. He sells the idea to his girl's father, who pays him 50 thousand dollars. The taxi driver, now employed by the double-decker bus company, is knocked unconscious when he is hit by a vase. The bus goes careening through downtown Los Angeles (circa 1926) before crashing into a telephone pole.
