Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Launched in January 2003, the Fox Sports Network's 54321 was the first Monday-Friday series devoted exclusively to the rarefied realm of extreme sports. Anchored by Leann Tweeden, Chad Towersey, and Kip Williamson, the series not only offered choice clips of such strenuous activities as BMX, surfboarding, and cross-country motoring, but also featured interviews with the participants, coverage of current competitions throughout the U.S., and news of upcoming events. Most of the "live" segments on 54321 were lensed in Orange County, CA, the unofficial x-sports capital of the world.
