He demonstrates some of the licks made famous by such stars as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, and the Allman Brothers. A variety of techniques are taught, including pull-offs, slides, vibrato, bends, and octaves. Kolb also shows students how to handle hammer-ons, harmonics, the whammy bar, arpeggios, and the sequencing of scales.
