Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
Fans of rock & roll who are eager to play some of their favorite classic tunes can learn some important tips from this course taught by Tom Kolb. He demonstrates some of the licks made famous by such stars as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, and the Allman Brothers. A variety of techniques are taught, including pull-offs, slides, vibrato, bends, and octaves. Kolb also shows students how to handle hammer-ons, harmonics, the whammy bar, arpeggios, and the sequencing of scales. Close-up camera shots help viewers follow along as Kolb slowly demonstrates how each technique should be mastered.
