Synopsis by Mark Deming
Hey, where better to listen to .38 Special than at a biker rally? With that notion in mind, the veteran Southern rock band played a gig in 1999 for several thousand enthusiastic Harley riders at the annual biker festival in Sturgis, SD. A camera crew was on hand to capture the band in action, and 38 Special: Live at Sturgis offers the highlights of their show, as they rumble through such hits as "Rockin' Into the Night," "Wild-Eyed Southern Boys," "Hold On Loosely," and "Rebel to Rebel."
