Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
This documentary is the first part of a five-part series on the building of Boeing's 777 jet plane. The 777 is one of the most technically advanced jet airplanes in the world -- five years in the making, with over 10,000 people and four million parts involved from start to finish. The film is an epic of modern product development. In this segment, the viewer gets an inside look at the project, from the inception of the dream in corporate boardrooms to the complex efforts to design the aircraft. Designed almost exclusively with advanced computer technology, the new plane begins to take shape under the careful eyes of the project's engineers.
