The haunted mother of a teenage runaway reaches out to a desperate young woman who has fallen under the spell of a lonely junkie while living on the streets. Lexi ran away from home to escape her domineering mother. But shortly after being befriended by a sensitive street kid, she finds herself alone and pregnant. Now, in order to make up for failing her own daughter, devastated mother Devon takes Lexi under her wing to ensure the healthy delivery of her baby.
