A heavyweight supporting player in low-budget Westerns of the 1920s, Texas-born Walter Maly played a nasty bank robber terrorizing heroine Barbara Kent in Fred Humes' Prowlers of the Night (1926) and was the leader of a gang of bandits in Buffalo Bill Jr.'s The Galloping Gobs (1927). He retired at the advent of sound and returned to Texas.
