A well-known author and literary critic, Rob Wagner wrote his first screen story The Author's Son in 1911. He later functioned as Charles Chaplin's publicity agent, wrote film-related articles for the Saturday Evening Post, and directed such minor films as Fair Week (1924) starring rotund comedian Walter Hiers. Wagner is today best remembered for publishing the influential film review magazine Rob Wagner's Script.
