Comedian Nasim Pedrad was born in Iran, but grew up in Irvine, CA. She attended UCLA's School of Theatre before moving on to appear in the Groundlings, Improv Olympics, and Upright Citizen's Brigade. In 2009, Pedrad's sketch comedy skills were put to the test when she joined the cast of Saturday Night Live. She appeared in the romantic comedy No Strings Attached, and provided a voice in The Lorax.
